QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager for an update on flood defences, alleviation and other associated works with regard to the River Poddle, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The Office of Public Works (OPW) are currently reviewing the Final Flood Risk Management Options Report for the Poddle Catchment which follows on from the Public Consultation on the Draft Options held in June 2013.  This report will identify preferred options for flood defences and associated works.

We will update members when the OPW issue the Final Flood Risk Management Report to South Dublin County Council which we anticipate receiving in November 2013
