QUESTION: Councillor M. Devine

To ask the Manager for a schedule of works regarding the installation of water meters throughout the Tallaght region?

REPLY:

Irish Water has not yet provided South Dublin County Council with a programme for the installation of meters in the County.

Irish Water has committed to meet SDCC 3 months in advance of commencing the meter installation in the County to provide a programme of works.

They are also committed to providing householders 1 months notice of commencing works in their area.

We anticipate that the installation will commence in the County Mid-2014.

As soon as Irish Water provide meter installation schedules to South Dublin County Council, Members will be updated at area committees.
