MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell, Councillor E. Tuffy, Councillor C. King, Councillor J. Hannon, Councillor M. Devine, Councillor P. Kearns, Councillor T. Ridge, Councillor C. Brophy, Councillor E. Coburn, Councillor E. Higgins, Councillor T. Delaney, Councillor W. Lavelle

That South Dublin County Council supports the campaign of the Restaurants Association of Ireland to keep the VAT rate for tourism and hospitality at 9% into 2014 and beyond and that the Manager is herby requested to write to the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Tourism to convey the wishes of the elected members in this regard.

Should the motion be agreed by the members a letter will issue to the Minister for Finance outlining the sentiments contained in the motion.
