That this Committee calls for the prompt and efficient delivery of the first phase of the TASC Pavilion and for a full explanation of the further delays which have hampered this vital project.

REPORT:

Procurement for this project required that a contract bond be put in place. The assessment and clarification process has resulted in two successful contractors being disqualified/withdrawing because of their inability to provide the required bond.

The Council is currently reviewing the third ranked tender and is confirming bond, program and detail issues with a view to delivering the project this year. It is expected that this process will conclude shortly.

The Elected Members will be kept informed of progress on the matter.
