MOTION: Councillor C. Bond

That this Council restore the Bottle Bank in Firhouse Shopping Centre as soon as practicable.

REPORT:

The bottle bank previously in place at the Firhouse Shopping Centre was removed by the Council some years ago at the request of the owner of the shopping centre site.  The Council will approach the landowner once again and propose the reinstatement of the bottle banks at this site.  Failing this the Council is prepared to consider any alternative site that may be available in the general area.  In this regard any suggestions made by elected members or members of the public will be gratefully received and will receive full consideration as to their suitability.
