QUESTION NO.7

QUESTION: Councillor B. Lawlor

"To ask the Manager to maintain the open space at Woodale,Oakdale and Beechdale on a more regular basis?"

REPLY:

Grassed areas and public open spaces within housing estates are cut on a regular basis and under normal circumstances a frequency three/four weeks between cuts, is achieved.  However the frequency of cut depends greatly on weather and soil conditions and grass growth is very rapid at present because of long daylight hours, high temperatures and soil moisture content. The open spaces in Woodale, Oakdale and Beechdale are scheduled to be cut again during the week commencing 17th June 2013.
