QUESTION NO.11
QUESTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody
"To ask the Manager to consider cutting back and improving the entrance to Dodder Valley Park at the Kilvere end. This entrance looks unsightly and uninviting?"
REPLY:
It is agreed that the shrubbery at the entrance to the Dodder Valley Park at Kilvere Estate, Rathfarnham is overgrown and unsightly for a distance of approx. 20/30 metres into the park. The situation is not helped by the local dumping of garden waste, which is an ongoing problem in the area. Arrangements will be made to clear this area over the coming weeks to ensure that the general appearance of the entrance to the Park is enhanced. The remaining wet meadows situated on both sides of the entrance path will be retained in their current condition, in the interest of wildlife conservation.
