Rathfarnham By Pass - Inspection of footpath 

At the April meeting of the Rathfarnham Area Committee it was agreed to inspect the footpath on the Rathfarnham Bypass.  

This footpath was recently inspected by the Area Engineer and staff from the Roads Department.

The path was found to be in reasonably good condition. There are however some areas of broken or cracked slabs. It was also noted that some lifting of the slabs has occurred at the location of roadside trees.

Road Maintenance Section will carry out some localised repairs to any broken slabs. In addition, Roads will liaise with the Parks Department in relation to the removal of trees that are found to have caused damage to the path.
