QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody
"To ask the Manager what progress if any has been made since I asked that the pedestrian barrier on Ballyboden Road be replaced or made good, the Council's engineer was asked to inspect and report back. Can you also include an anticipated date by when such work is likely to be commenced?"
REPLY:
The short section of pedestrian barrier referred to was provided as a safety measure when the adjacent entrance was in use. As the entrance is no longer in use and has been closed off by a palisade fence, the pedestrian barrier is therefore redundant. It is proposed to remove this section of pedestrian barrier. The work will be carried out in June 2013.
