REPORT ON PUBLIC CONSULTATION PROCEDURE UNDER PART 8 OF THE PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001 - 2011 FOR THE PROPOSED EXTENSION AND ENHANCEMET OF THE FRIARSTOWN ALLOTMENTS, BOHERNABREENA
REPLY:
The proposal consists of the following elements:
- Extension of number of existing 128 allotments to 297
- Construct associated access paths, fencing, gates, site divisions, water provision.
- Construction of new amenity and educational facility containing Meeting room, Office storage and toilet facilities
- Planting of a new tree and hedge lined entrance avenue
- Designated car parking
- Provision of regularized storage facilities for the use of allotment holders
- Information signage
The proposal is illustrated graphically on accompanying outline drawing Number PLS 1233-19.
A Report was considered at the Tallaght Area Committee Meeting on the 10th December 2012 and approval of the proposed scheme as amended was recommended.
As the proposal is considered to be in accordance with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area, it is recommended that the proposed project proceed with the development as recommended by the Area Committee.
