MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Council will support the organisation Pieta House in establishing a suitable premises in a central location within the County Town.

REPORT:

The Council has had no specific recent request from Pieta House for support in respect of identifying a premises in the County Town. It is unlikely that the Council has a suitable premises within its existing property portfolio but should Pieta House wish to discuss the matter with the Council a meeting can be arranged.

It should be noted that Pieta House currently avail of an office space for an outreach programme at Jobstown which was sourced with the assistance of the Council. The Council also assisted the organisation recently with a contribution towrds their operational expenses.
