QUESTION: Councillor C. King

To ask the Manager how much of the €472k that was allocated to Traveller Maintenance in the 2013 SDCC Budget has been spent, where has it been spent and on what and how much of that €472k remains for the purpose of maintenance for the remainder of 2013?

REPLY:

The annual estimate for expenditure on Traveller Specific Developments in 2013 is €472,600 and it is used for maintenance including clean up, caretaking and refurbishment of traveller bays.  It does not include maintenance works on Group Housing which is met from the Housing Maintenance budget.

To date €261,097 has been committed and spent on maintenance, minor contracts and services as well as caretaking on Traveller Specific Developments.  This sum is in line with what would be expected at this time of the year.
