"That the Manager give a report on the derelict hoarding at Stockingwell Stockingwood. The area is very dangerous for children and a report from the Planners should be referred to the Health and Safety Authority."

REPORT:

The Receiver carried out extensive repairs including moving part of it following a request from SDCC in December 2012. Other parts have been damaged since by high winds and the Receiver is reluctant to engage in works which are unlikely to be successful. Accordingly, they have asked their quantity surveyors to tender for the replacement of all the compound hoarding in Stocking Well and this process is ongoing currently. In my discussions and e-mails to date with the Receiver I have advised them that they are taking a great risk in leaving parts of the compound site open which they acknowledged.

I expect to hear from them in the second week of June regarding the provision of new fencing. I would prefer to let this deadline pass before involving the HSA.
