QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager for an update on the status of the new playground for Tymon Pk, and on the plans to deal with the land left behind from the previous playground near to Coláiste de hÍde?"

REPLY:

The Part 8 Public Consultation for the proposal to construct a replacement for the Tymon Park playground on the Tymon North side of the park was approved by the Elected Members in 2011.  No funding has as yet been identified to progress this project but the Council will pursue any funding that may become available. 

The area of land on which the old playground was situated is due to be upgraded in the current year and will include the removal of surplus material that still remains on the site.
