MOTION NO. 15

MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That this Committee request that the Manager convenes a consultative type process for the Clondalkin LAC to communicate with the various bodies involved in the design & build of the N7 Newlands interchange. Specifically and example of the issues of concern to residents are as follows-

The visual impact on adjoining residential properties and proposed measures to soften same

The noise impact on residents and what measure are proposed to mimimise and monitor same

The boundary type & finish and proposed landscaping on the various entry points into Clondalkin Village

REPORT:

The NRA has appointed BAM Contractors on this PPP contract.  The Contract is to commence construction in June. The Council is not a party to this contract. Mr John Coughlan has been appointed as Liaison engineer and has already met with resident groups at which these matters have been discussed. A briefing on these matters can be arranged for local members if required.
