"To ask the Manager for an update on the Gathering 2013 for the area under the remit of this Committee, and to make a statement on the matter?"
REPLY:
South Dublin County Tourism in partnership with South Dublin County Council , Fingal Leader Partnership and The Gathering Ireland will host a large number of international events and tournaments in 2013, through sport, business and culture, as part of the biggest tourism initiative to take place in Ireland under The Gathering Ireland 2013.
Below is a list of the events, tournaments and business conferences schedule to date. There is still the prospect of more events being added to this list as the year progresses. These events will bring a huge number of overseas visitors to the hotels and businesses of South Dublin with the focal point of whichever particular tournament or event they are attending.
