QUESTION:  Councillor T. Gilligan

To ask the Manager how many personal injury claims have been made to the Council broken down between 2009-2013 and how much compensation has been paid out 2009-2013?   How much has been paid out to the public and how many claims from the public, again 2009-2013?

REPLY:

The following are the statistics requested in respect of Public Liability and Employer Liability for the period 2009 - 2013 (to date). It should be noted that, in the majority of cases, the cases settled related to claims submitted in previous years.
