QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"In view of the growing numbers of Active Retired Groups or Mens Clubs in the County and in particular, in the Tallaght area, would the Manager make a report indicating if there are equipment grants available, for the purchase of recreational equipment, such as indoor bowling mats, gardening equipment,etc in addition to "start up grants" for such groups?"

REPLY:

The Community Services Department operates a Community Grants Scheme whereby a group can apply for grants such as Equipment Grants,

Start Up Costs Grants and a wide variety of other grants are also available. The Community Team is available to go out and discuss the types of grants with any groups or organisations and also to outline the criteria  required to qualify.
