QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"Could the Manager make a report indicating if there will be any grants available this year for Community Groups that run Summer Projects and will he also indicate if such grants will be available for application on the SDCC website?"

REPLY:

The Community Services Department posted out Application Forms to existing Summer Projects in February, 2013 with a closing date of 22^nd March, 2013.

 A notice was also on the Council Website inviting new or existing groups to apply for Financial Assistance within our Community Grants Scheme.

 To-date a total of 32 projects have applied to us for funding and are currently being presented to the Area Committee Meetings and for final approval at the May County Council meeting. Also, a Summer Projects Committee is available to take any calls or queries regarding Summer Projects or the setting up of a new project.
