"That the Manager replace the rotten floorboards in the downstairs backroom at **address supplied."

REPORT:

A request to have the floorboards replaced was received on 3^rd September 2012, the matter was inspected it was proposed to provide either a concrete cover on the floor or to have a ply wood cover on top of a damp proof membrane. The tenant refused both these choices and requested that wooden floorboards be provided. This is unsuitable as the flooring would then be above the level of the bottom of the door/saddleboard and unsafe as it would create a trip hazard. The Housing Department's Clerk of Works has suggested that a low level laminate flooring option be provided and will make contact with the tenant within the next week to discuss this option.
