QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

"To ask the Manager for the schedule of grass cutting for the N4 for 2013 and to respectfully request that it not be let get out of hand and run wild in this year of the Gathering as in 2012?

REPLY:

The N4 now commences at the M50 Interchange and runs to the Kildare Co. boundary. The NRA will transfer this road for maintenance purposes to a private contractor  in late April/early May 2013. The grass cutting schedule will be included in the tender.

The remainder of the N4 (now the R148) inside the M50 Interchange will be maintained by SDCC  and grass cutting will be scheduled as finances allow.
