MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
"That this Area Committee:
- requests the Manager to provide a detailed report on the planning status of the proposed Adamstown Sport/Community Hall;
- requests both Co. Dublin VEC and Chartridge/Castlethorn to formally advise of their position with respect to this matter; and
- further requests the Manager to examine all options to secure financial solution to allow for immediate development of this of this much-needed facility."
REPORT:
Planning permission was granted on 12th December 2007 for construction of a post primary school and a community centre incorporating a multipurpose sports hall. This permission expired in December 2012. The Adamstown Project Team is currently liaising with Chartridge Developments Ltd in respect of this matter in order to explore options for delivery of a community facility in Adamstown.
