MOTION: Councillor M. Duff

That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide signage on Kingswood Avenue, either side of the new RPA footpath, warning motorists to drive slowly, in the interest of pedestrian safety.

REPORT:

Kingswood Avenue is in a residential area with traffic calming. Pedestrians on the new footpath have good visibility to and from oncoming traffic.

It is normal to expect pedestrians in a residential area and pedestrain signage should only provided where the presence of pedestrians is not normally to be expected . Additional signage is therefore not recommended
