QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

"To ask the Manager for a report on the water pressure in Heather Grove and Woodfarm Acres generally and to thanks staff for their prompt response recently to a complaint about very low water pressure?"

REPLY:

The Water Maintenance Section is not aware of any recent complaints about low water pressures in the Woodfarm Acres area of Palmerstown and the Heather Grove cul de sac in particular but a pressure logger will be put on highest hydrant in this cul de sac so that a full days pressures can be recorded and investigated. The existing situation in the Woodfarm Acres area is that if the pressures in the watermains do drop an underground booster pump at the bus terminal on Kennelsfort Road comes on and boosts the pressures.
