MOTION NO. 21

MOTION: Councillor B. Bonner

That this Committee agrees that the redundant telephone box in Main Street, Clondalkin is unsightly and a health and safety hazard and arrangements should be made for it's removal.

REPORT:

The phone booths in question are the responsibility of i-Point Ltd, the company who took over control of the facility from Smart Telecom, the previous operators. They have informed us of their plans to upgrade / refurbish the two phone booths. To date, the only works carried out has been a general clean up of the booths. If the motion is approved, i-Point Ltd will be informed of the Councils desire to have the booths removed.
