QUESTION: Councillor M. McDonagh

To ask the Manager to provide a report on the request by Cluid Housing Association to transfer ownership of a strip of land between Kilmahuddrick Road and Kilcronan Grove back into Council ownership.

REPLY:

The Council (Water Services ) has been in discussions with the Cluid Housing Association regarding the disposal of lands outlined on attached map to the Council free of charge. The Council seeks to acquire the site for services access into the future. 

The Council has a Mortgage dated 22nd August 1995, registered against the entire Folio DN110488F in respect of the voluntary housing development in Kilcronan by Cluid Housing Association (formerly St. Pancreas Housing Association).The Mortgage contains a condition that Cluid may not dispose of the property without the Council's consent.

The Housing Department consented to the disposal of the land in question (free of charge) by Cluid Housing Association on the 1st of March 2013.
