QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"Can the Manager ensure that when the Parks personnel are cutting the grass in Glendoher Park that they ensure the grass cuttings are not carelessly sprayed across the footpaths - there are elderly people living in this estate who would like to avail of a footpath that cost quite a bit of money to have put in place?"

REPLY:

The Parks personnel involved in maintaining this open space have good local contact in this area and particularly with the local environmental group.  The issue of grass being deposited on paths following mowing work will be brought to the attention of the local staff.
