COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE
Tuesday, March 12, 2013
QUESTION NO. 9
QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"To ask the Manager for a progress report on flood alleviation measures for Castlefield/Glenlyon and Glenvara?"
REPLY:
South Dublin County Council's Drainage Section applied for funding from the OPW (Office of Public Works) under their Minor Flood Mitigation Scheme late last year, 2012, to duplicate the existing surface water system through the Castlefield Estate past Homeville and down to the Dodder River. As of now no decision has been made by the OPW on this application by SDCC. Repeated attempts have been made by SDCC to get a decision but so far to no avail.
