QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
To ask the Manager, to advise if this Council has successfully renegotiated the terms of any pre-2010 Part V agreements so as to reduce costs to reflect current housing market conditions; and to advise, on an overall basis, on how many agreements were successfully renegotiated and what the saving to the Council was?
REPLY:
To date the Council has successfully renegotiated the terms of 1 pre - 2010 Part V agreement. The revised agreement relates to the developement in Castlegate, Adamstown resulting in savings of in excess of €1.5m to the Council at this point in time.
Active negotiations are ongoing in respect of 2 other developments, namely Tallaght Cross and Saggart Lodge to secure revised Part V arrangements in accordance with current housing market conditions.
