QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to provide details of litter pickup, enforcement and bin replacement activity in the vicinity of Tymon Park along Kippure Avenue and Lugnaquilla Avenue in 2013, and to make a statement on how it is intended to keep this area litter-free and well maintained in the time ahead?"

REPLY:

The Council operations section carry out regular litter picks along Kippure Avenue and Lugnaquilla Avenue.

Kipure Avenue is next scheduled for road sweeping and littering picking by Oxigen on 14th March and then on  14th June 2013. Lugnaquilla Avenue is scheduled to be swept and litter picked on 14th March and 14th June.

A replacement litter bin will be installed near the park entrance as requested by the local residents.
