MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That the Manager cleans up the area behind Melrose, Clondalkin (address supplied). Will the Manager consider disposing of the land to the adjacent houses.

REPORT:

This area was recently cleaned as part of regular maintenance works that are carried out in the Bawnogue area.  In relation to the disposal of the land it would not be possible for the open space to be disposed off as this would alienate it from its intended use as public open space.  The Council is legally prevented from disposing of dedicated public open space as would be the case in this situation.
