QUESTION NO. 4
QUESTION: Councillor M. McDonagh
To ask the Manager to provide an update on the window replacement programme in Clondalkin in 2013, detailing the total number of homes who can expect to have their windows replaced this year and when the work is due to commence?
REPLY:
An average of 65 houses per year have had their windows replaced over the last 3 years under the windows and doors replacement programme in the Clondalkin Area, this figure represented approximately 35% of the overall funding. There were 309 houses on the window and doors replacement programme in the Clondalkin Area at the end of last year, 217 of these were graded 5. Work on replacement commenced in January and 8 houses in this area are currently with the contractor for pricing. It should be noted that for works to be commenced the tenant/s must have either a clear rent account or be adhering to an official arrangement to clear the arrears for a period of 6 months.
