MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That the Manager addresses the leaking shore at the front of Monastery Drive Estate. The leaking water proves problematic with the cold weather for residents/motorists.

REPORT:

There is a problem with a road gully in Monastery Rise off Monastery Road in Clondalkin where during heavy rain it appears that the water comes out of the gully instead of going into it and ponds on the road. The Drainage Section suspects that the reason for this is because the main sewer is blocked by root infestation from a Cherry Tree nearby. An investigation will be carried out on the main sewer to verify our suspicions shortly and if correct the sewer will be repaired.
