MOTION NO. 18

MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That the Manager take action in restoring the dilapidated building/land/site on the corner of the New Nangor Road / Ninth Lock Road. Does the Council own this land? If not who does own it? What action can the Council take as this is also an environmental / health issue.

REPORT:

The lands located at the corner of the New Nangor Road/Ninth Lock Road, are in private ownership.   The lands in question are registered to Folio No. l96l50F - Date of Registration 27th July 20ll.

The Council's Inspector for the purposes of the Derelict Sites Act has been requested to carry out a follow up inspection; on receipt of that report a further report will be submitted to this committee.

The Council's Dangerous Buildings Inspector has reported following on a recent site visit that the owner of the lands had responded to request to reinstate the perimeter fencing in a stable and secure manner.

There was little evidence of dumping in/around these lands at time of site inspection Friday 8th February 20l3.
