QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr

"To ask the Manager without delay removes any surplus litter bins from the Brookfield Road?"

REPLY:

There are several litter bins located along Brookfield Road. Due to the presence of the bus stops, schools and  local shops it is necessary to provide litter bins to facilitate the disposal of litter by individuals congregating in these areas.  Some of the standard litter bins are vandalised or covered with graffiti.  The Cleansing Section foremen will assess the need for each bin along the roadway and any redundant or surplus bins will be removed and any damaged bins which are required to be kept in place will be repaired or replaced.
