QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to reinstate the waste bin at the entrance to Tymon Park on Lugnaquilla Avenue, given the levels of waste being left at this location, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The Council will list the bin for replacement as requested. The Cleansing section is currently awaiting delivery of new bins for installation throughout the County.  Once this delivery of bins has been received the bin in question will be installed.

The Council is aware of illegal dumping occurring along the boundary of the parkland on Kippure Avenue and Lugnaquilla Avenue. The material has been listed for removal by the Operations crew.
