QUESTION NO. 9
QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
"To ask the Manager, in the light of repeated reports of sewage difficulties in the *Address Supplied, over recent months and years, to confirm the staus of the public sewer system in the area and to clarify if it is in need of repair or replacement, and if any assistance or advice can be provided to residents who have paid large amounts of money for repairs only for the problem to recur?"
REPLY:
The public sewer system in this location is a combined sewer (foul and surface water). It was dragged and cleared by the Drainage Maintenance Section last November 2012 when a large amount of stone and grit was removed. The Drainage Section is not aware of any drainage problems in this area since that date but will continue to monitor the situation.
