QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager for an update on the report from the previous Area Committee meeting on the plans for the TASC Pavilion, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The following report was present to the December 2012 Tallaght Area Committee Meeting (1)

Tenders have been received and analysed by the Architectural Services Department and a recommendation has been made to appoint a contractor. The standstill period, required under public procurement, has elapsed and the Council is now free to discuss the terms of the contract with the preferred bidder. A meeting has been arranged for the 12th December to go through the detail of the contract, and subject to agreement by the parties, it is intended to move to the formal appointment stage. 

The Council has received most of the information requested and once the full information pack has been processed will proceed to the appointment by contract of the successful tenderer.
