MOTION: Councillor M. Duff

Would the Manager make a report regarding the derelict site on Mayberry Road, Kilnamanagh and would he indicate if the comprehensive report on the site has been carried out and what action does he intend to take next, regarding the condition of the site

REPORT:

The Area Engineer reinspected the site on Mayberry Raod on the 14th December 2012 pursuant to the provisions of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 and he deemed the site to be still derelict.  As a result of the report of the Area Engineer a Section 11 Notice was served on the 15th January 2013 on the owners of the site requesing that  ragwort be pulled and removed and that the overgrowth be cut back.  These works are to be carried out within 6 weeks from the date of issue of the notice to render the site non derelict.

A further inspection will be made once the notice has expired to ascertain if the said works have been completed.
