Cathaoirleach’s Business

"That the Manager give a report of the meeting with Stockingwell, Stocking Wood residents and what outcomes may happen in the future".  

REPORT:

A meeting was held with representatives of the Stocking Well Residents Association on the 3rd January.  The representatives outlined the difficulties they were experiencing in the area.  Generally speaking they relate to a large number of children with little or nothing to do or play area.  This in turn results in damage to the area that must be paid for by the residents through the Management Charge.  They also were concerned with a level of anti social behaviour that is becoming apparent in the area as well as a lack of representation on the Management Committee.  They were advised that the matters they were concerned about were for Circle Housing Association who are the landlords of most of the social housing in the area and acting as our managing agent for the remainder.

The Council undertook to meet with Circle Housing Association with a view to fostering a joint working arrangement between them and the residents.
