QUESTION: Councillor E. Coburn

"To ask the Manager to outline what plans are in place to host Gathering 2013 events in the Rathfarnham Ward and to detail the potential venues identified?"

REPLY:

The Community Services Department recently launched The Gathering Local Community Fund as a funding opportunity for community groups across the County including Rathfarnham, to submit funding applications to for Gathering events that had proposals to host in 2013. The deadline for the fund is now closed and assessment of applications received are now ongoing.

South Dublin County Tourism Ltd in partnership with SDCC have also organised a number of large events for the County to mark the year of the Gathering 2013.
