COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE

QUESTION NO. 1
QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave
"To ask the Manager to give an update on when the Council will be installing free Wi-Fi in Rathfarnham Village?"
REPLY:
Despite extensive attempts over a number of months with local businesses (through the local traders representatives) in order to secure required access for the project - both property and broadband, it wasn’t possible to achieve the requirements satisfactorily in this location and therefore regrettably the pilot project has been moved to Clondalkin. The Council will revert to Rathfarnham along with other areas of the county after a successful pilot and evaluation of the system in Clondalkin.
