MOTION: Councillor G. Kenny

That this area Committee look at the feasibility of a "Money back Bottle" scheme in Clondalkin. Obviously this would need the co-operation of local businesses who sell drinks in bottled containers.This would be a pilot scheme to see how effective it could be run on a Council wide basis.

REPORT:

The feasibility of setting up a "Money Back Bottle scheme"  will be examined  as part of discussions regarding making Litter Bye laws initiated by the Environment Strategic Policy Committee.  Clondalkin will be taken as a pilot area for this feasibility study.
