QUESTION NO.9

QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager for a report on the welfare of the swans and geese in Tymon Park, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The swans and geese in Tymon Park are an integral feature and attraction of  Tymon park.  They are monitored by the local staff and feed is provided when necessary.  There are no current reports relating to the lack of welfare of the swans but there have been times previously when swans have been attacked by dogs or deliberately intimidated by individuals in the park.
