QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

"To ask the Manager if she can provide a Report with the following information: 1. The number of applicants living in the Lucan Electoral Area who made application to the Council's Housing Department for Grants under each of the three Grants Schemes, ie (a) HOPS (Grants for Older People for Essential Repairs), (b) Mobility Housing Grants and (c) Disability Housing Grants; 2. The number of Grants which have been made so far in 2012 under each of the three schemes, to applicants in the Lucan EA; 3. the total amount of grant funding awarded under each scheme in 2012 to applicants in the Lucan EA?"

The following tables provide details regarding Housing Grant applications in the the Lucan Electoral Area in 2012 to date.

Mobility Aids Housing Grant Scheme (MAGS) 5

The Department of Environment, Community & Local Government issued notification, dated 28th February, 2012, informing South Dublin County Council of a capital grant allocation totaling €2,728,308.  This grant allocation is not specifically apportioned  to electoral divisions but is the allocation for all areas within the administrative area of South Dublin County Council.
