MOTION NO. 10

MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That this committee requests the Manager to organise a meeting involving the following stakeholders with regard to parking at Rosemount Shopping Centre, Ballyroan:-

Butterfield District Residents' Association; Rosemount Traders; Community Centre Management; Ruah Pastoral Centre Management and Ballyroan Parish Representatives;

with a view to sharing views and proposals on how parking can be maximised at Rosemount with minimal disruption to local residents."

REPORT:

It is intended to carry out a further survey of usage of the carpark after the new library opens in Feb 2013 when traffic patterns settle down again. A meeting/discussion can then take place with the relevant stakeholders to identify if any further measures can be adopted to maximise parking at this location.
