That this Committee calls on local people to support local jobs by shopping with local traders this Christmas, and asks the Council to publicise this call on its website and via social networking.

 Think Local for Christmas 2012!

Think Local is an initiative of the South Dublin County Development Board to create and develop community awareness of the advantages and benefits of supporting local business. Think Local asks you as an individual or as a business  to make a conscious decision to switch some of your existing spend to local products, services and facilities  in South Dublin County.  By switching some of your existing spend to products and services locally in South Dublin County you can ensure:

 • Jobs are created and saved locally

• Greater investment in our community

• Increased competition and diversity

• Entrepreneurs thrive in this County
