MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Manager examine Ballyroan House Lodge with a view to declaring it a derelict site."

REPORT:

The Planning Department have reported that Planning Permission was granted on the 19th September, 2006  (Planning Reference SD06B/0210) for the demolition of existing lean- to at rear, construction of new single storey extension to rear and two storey extension to side, and boundary alterations. (A Protected Structure) in respect of Ballyroan Lodge,  Rathfarnham, Dublin 14. No Commencement Notice was received. The Planning Permission expired on the 19th September, 2011. 

An inspection of the site under the Derelict Sites Act 1990 has been requested to establish if the site is deemed to be derelict.  Following on receipt of the Inspector's report, a further report will be made to this Committee.
