QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

To ask the Manager what plans are underway to celebrate the St Patrick's Day Festival in the County; if previous events at Tallaght Stadium are to be developed; and to make a statement on the matter?

REPLY:

It is not possible at this stage to confirm precisely what celebrations will take place to mark St. Patrick's Day across the County. There are a range of activities which are organised directly by or supported by the Council every year and it is hoped to do so again in 2013, subject to available resources. 

An event at Tallaght Stadium is being considered but will be subject to available resources and support from local businesses and community groups.
