QUESTION: Councillor M. Devine

To ask the Manager how many tenants have applied for Home purchase scheme & how many were successfully completed in the past year?

REPLY:

55 Tenant Purchase Scheme applications were submitted up to the 31st October 2012.

40 sales have been completed to date this year:  37 of the these sales were under 2011 Tenant Purchase Scheme and 3 were under the 1995 Tenant Purchase Scheme. (Applications under the 2011 Scheme closed on 31/12/2011)

In accordance with Circular Housing 39 of 2012  regarding the Housing (Sale of Houses to Long Standing Tenants) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 the date for the completion of sales date for the 2011 Tenant Purchase Scheme is extended to 30 June 2013.
